How to Mount an ISO Image via IPMI Virtual Media

1. Using Web Browser to Access IPMI from Your Computer

1.1. Open web browser and connect to the IPMI server using the IP address provided to you, for example, http://10.200.128.2. The following screen will display:

1.2. Enter your username and password provided to you and click login.

1.3. The IPMI Home Page will display on the next page.

2. Navigating to Virtual Media Submenu

2.1. Navigate to Virtual Media > CD-ROM image using the menubar on the top.

2.2. Image on Window Share will display...

3. Attaching an ISO file to Virtual Media

3.1. Input the following details given from our techincal support engineers:

Share host: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

For example: 10.10.20.240
Location of Windows Share storage will be provided from our techincal support engineers

Paht to image: \foldername\filename.iso

For example: \os-images\ubuntu-11.04-desktop-amd64.iso
List of ISO images will be provided below.

User: username

Case-sensitive. Username will be provided from our techincal support engineers

Password: password

Case-sensitive. Password will be provided from our techincal support engineers.

3.2. Once ready click "Mount" to attached an ISO image. A message window will pop-up.

3.3.  Click "OK" to confirm message.

3.4. CDROM&ISO Status will change status to "There is a disk mounted" if the mount is sucessful. If not, make sure that details inputted are correct. **NOTE: Status should change immediately, if not, then mount was not sucessful.**

4. To Unmount ISO When Completed

4.1. Click "Unmount" to remove ISO image from virtual media.

4.2. CDROM&ISO Status will change status to "No disk emulation set".
